Watch out, iPhone Ten and Milky way S9: Sony just unveiled a new smartphone that may give those flagships some competition, peculiarly when information technology comes to shooting photos and videos.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, which is slated to arrive globally at some signal this summer, features dual rear cameras – a 19MP colour sensor and 12MP black and white sensor – that promise to make your low-light photos wait really good and let you shoot 4K HDR videos. There's no discussion yet as to how much it will cost, but its predecessor, the Xperia XZ Premium, debuted in June for $799.

The Xperia XZ2 Premium "boasts the world's highest ISO 12800 sensitivity for video recording in a smartphone, every bit well as ultra-high sensitivity 51200 for photos, enabling ultra low lite capture previously only seen in interchangeable lens cameras and with a bright live view-finder," Sony wrote in a news release.

Shipping with Android 8.0 Oreo, the handset features a v.8-inch 4K HDR display. This mode, you can capture 4K HDR movies and play them dorsum in all their detailed glory, all right on the device.

Other specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory (and back up for microSDXC cards up to 400GB), a 3,540mAh bombardment, and 13MP front end photographic camera. It will come in chrome black and chrome argent color options.

The Xperia XZ Premium earned a "good" rating in PCMag's review. We liked its "crisp 4K HDR display," and "powerful Snapdragon 835 processor," but docked points for its "poor battery life" and "bulky pattern."
